Dental Veneer
Definition: A dental veneer is a thin, custom-made shell of porcelain or composite resin bonded to the front surface of a tooth to change its color, shape or size.
Why it matters
Veneers can cover chips, stains and gaps, but placing porcelain veneers usually removes a thin layer of enamel, so the choice is generally permanent. Cost and longevity vary by material.
